OT: Bushings

How easy (or hard) is it to replace all the rear bushings using a Suspension Techniques kit? I think that the sound that is coming from my rear end may be because some of the bushings have gone bad. I'd like to try replacement of those before I move on.

lilmikey77: A few minutes? Doesn't this set include the bushings for the lower control arms and everything inbetween? Won't that require unbolting almost every suspension piece?

exactly. "a few minutes" was a joke! This master set includes like every damn bushing on the car. I used the front and rear upper and lower shock bushings, along with the shifter stabilizer bushings. I got all the rest. I even have the rear trailing arm bushings. I had thought of installing all these bushings all over the place, but, after spending hours on the lower shock bushings alone, I decided against it.

It is definately a lot of work. However, if you have some way to press out the bushings, it would be alot easier. Just start unbolting pieces, pressing out the old bushings and pressing in the new.

My biggest problem was all my suspension bolts kept snapping off, requiring a lot more work than it should have. damn ohio!

Okay. . . before I jump into a project like that, I should probably find out once-and-for-all what the clicking noise is.
